Company History

The company was formed in 1994, initially with the PM cleaning fluids for the instant removal of iron and manganese bio fouling from the wetted surfaces of drinking water structures. Regular business began to develop with clients in Scotland and soon after that in other parts of the UK.

By the millennium, the company had established a wider Board of Directors all of whom had been working with the business from the very early years, and who are still with Company today.

In addition, Iain Weir and Paul Henderson had also added a rapid repairs division to our cleaning services - as we were on-site in drained down tanks and could see the need for instant repairs of all kinds to improve the maintenance of the stored water quality. Our clientele were pleased to receive another much needed service.

Now, with another decade behind us, the company is many times bigger and is proud to have developed into the unique "Drinking Water Quality Engineering" company that it is. Specialist services now offered throughout the country include: cleaning and disinfection, refurbishment and major repairs, underwater on-line robotic cleaning and surveys and the commissioning into service of drinking water pipelines.

With our wide range of in-house engineering skills - chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical and environmental, we have now branched out further and now boast experience in industrial water facilities, such as live cooling tower ponds which cannot be taken out of service, process water management and nuclear applications.

In 2011 - Jim R Panton retired from the business and his son Jim W Panton, who had been Non Executive Chairman of the Company for a year at that point, took over as Chief Executive, working with Iain Weir as Chief Operating Officer, Paul Henderson as Sales and Marketing Director and Shelagh Briggs as Finance Director.

Our plans for the future development of Panton McLeod, both here in the UK and abroad, are ambitious and are being driven forward energetically by a proactive, dynamic and energetic team.
